Opening Hours of Deauville Airport

The Pays d'Auge Chamber of Commerce and Industry operates Deauville St Gatien
Airport on a full time and continuous basis. The Airport is open all year round, from 0800 to 2000 and from 0900 to 2000 on weekends and bank holidays.

There is a bar in the Airport restaurant which can be hired out for private receptions upon request. The restaurant is open every day between mid-April and the end of September. During the off-peak season (between October and mid-April), the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Parking is free for customers. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the restaurant and the airport terminal for customers, passengers and airline staff. Just ask the restaurant staff for the access code. Safety & Security

• The DSAC Ouest (Western Division of the French Civil Aviation Authority) is the delegation for Lower and Upper Normandy and is located at Le Havre Airport.

The General Direction of Civil Aviation plays a major part in the field of French air transport. This administration, depending on the Ministère de l'Ecologie, de l'Energie du Développement Durable et de l'Aménagement du Territoire (Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and Land Settlement) is responsible for the safety and security of air transport. As a service provider to airline and aviation companies, it deals with air traffic. It draws up and implements laws concerning airports and French aviation companies. It enforces the rights of passengers and supervises land settlement and development. As a counsellor and partner to the aviation industry, it supports the research and development of large scale aviation programmes. Furthermore, it sets objectives that contribute to the reduction of emissions caused by air traffic.

• The BGTA (Air Transport Gendarmerie Squad) is the State recognised law enforcement agency specialized in civil aviation matters. The ruling of the 28th April 2006 placed it at the service and under the control of the “Direction Général de l'Aviation Civile” (Civil Aviation Authority).

The BGTA is assigned different types of missions, including those related to administrative issues to do with aviation, legal issues, airside aviation policing and airport security.

It specifically aims to protect people, facilities and aircraft from illegal and unsafe activity.

• Customs (Les Douanes) are responsible for the security of goods in circulation over the region via any means of transport (e.g. aircraft, sea containers, cars, trucks, trains). They operate controls to make sure that transport laws are respected (e.g. regarding health and trade) and have the authority to seize dangerous products (e.g. narcotics, anabolic steroids, unauthorized drugs, forgeries, weapons, explosives etc.). Customs ensure passenger safety and are also primarily involved in border control and immigration into France.

Météo France (French Weather Forecast Agency)

The airport owns a “Météo-France” satellite station, providing pilots with information
about current and future eather conditions.

Veterinary Services

Veterinary services can be present upon request during the arrival and departure of aircraft involved in horse transport. The airport has 17 EU certified stalls and a specialised ramp for loading and unloading horses from aircraft.
